The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) Diploma is a highly respected 2-year professional course exclusively for females, designed to empower women with the knowledge and practical skills needed to serve in the healthcare sector, particularly in maternal and child health. This program focuses on equipping students with a strong foundation in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, Gynae & Obs, nutrition, hygiene, and first aid, along with specialized training in maternal care, child health, family planning, immunization, and community health education. The course includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training in hospitals and community settings, ensuring that graduates are fully prepared to provide essential healthcare services, especially in underserved areas. To be eligible, candidates must have at least completed Matric with Science with 45 percent marks and must be physically and mentally fit. Upon successful completion, students receive a government-approved diploma that opens doors to employment in public health departments, NGOs, private clinics, and international health organizations.
